Since commencing my research project with John Ross, at the University of Western Australia, I have been
interested in studying the vision system. Methods have evolved over the past
30 years, but the major questions remain the same: how does it all work?
My teaching appointment is with Florence university, where I give two
courses on visual
perception. My research laboratory is at the Dipartimento di Psicologia,
via della Cittadella, Florence
(near the station). I also collaborate with Istituto di Neuroscienze del CNR in Pisa, the Psychology School of the University of Western Australia
(where I hold the honorary title “adjunct professor”, the Stella
Maris Research Institute in Pisa (for functional imaging) and with
the Universitą Vita-Salute "San Rafaele",
Milan.
I serve on the editorial boards of Vision Research, Perception
and Current Biology.
